Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet ★ Review

Caudalie Moisturizing Sorbet has been my night cream of choice over the last three months.
Its formulation is aimed for people with sensitive skin and it has quite a particular consistency: it’s similar to a mousse. The cream is absorbed by the skin quite easily, especially if you take your time and gently massage it on your face. I use it as a night cream because it is definitely richer than the Avene Light Hydration Cream I use in the morning.

I have normal skin, and I find that this cream just takes a little while to be completely absorbed, so I tend to apply it before going to bed and in the morning my skin looks plumped and smooth.
As I have really sensitive skin and I suffer from a lot of redness – especially on my cheek area – I can tell that this moisturizer helped to calm down my easily irritated skin and diminish the red rashes. It is especially nice to apply when your skin feels tight and itchy, because it gives an immediate sensation of “relief” and freshness.
I would recommend you this product if you have normal to slightly dry skin and if you’re looking for a nigh time moisturizer that’s rich enough without feeling too greasy or heavy.
You can find Caudalie products on  www.feelunique.com. Il retails at £ 19.80.

Avène Hydrance Optimale Light Hydrating Cream ★ Review

Avène Hydrance Optimale is a  face moisturizer with SPF 20 rich in Avène thermal spring water.

This cream is meant for sensitive and intolerant skin and is available in two different formulation: one for normal to combination skin (which is the one I have, the “UV LIGHT”) and one for dryer skin, called “UV RICH”.

I have quite sensitive and intolerant skin, and this cream isn’t irritating it in any way. It has a very light consistency that makes it incredibly easy to smooth all over the face. This moisturizer sinks into the skin immediately and dries completely mat, leaving no oily residue on the face – in fact, it’s oil free. It hasn’t got any strong smell to it.

I find that this cream is perfect to use under my foundation because it absorbs really quickly into the skin leaving no greasiness at all.

I definitely recommend this moisturizer if you’re looking for a face cream with sun protection to use under your make up - or if you have combination skin and you can’t find a moisturizer with spf that is light enough.

You can find Avène products in Boots, and the Hydrance Optimale retails at £ 13.50.

MeMeMe Flawless Cream Foundation ★ Review

The foundation comes in a lightweight 30 ml plastic bottle with a pump and I find very convenient that you can see through the packaging to check how much is left. I find the design of the bottle really sophisticated and pretty. This foundation has SPF of 15, and I have it in the shade 02, 'Beige Blush', which is a perfect colour and tone match for my skin.

MeMeMe's foundation has a texture in between a liquid and a cream, and I love applying one pump of it using a buffing brush. The application is effortless, and I find that this foundation blends into the skin extremely well, giving a high amount of coverage. I personally don’t use concealer after I have applied it, because I find it covers my blemishes well and leaves an almost flawless finish.

I would say that MeMeMe's Flawless Foundation has a semi-mat finish. I personally love mat foundations and I always try to reach a dolly-like, opaque look for my complexion. I am aware that the make-up trends for the last couple of years have always aimed at a dewy, fresh face and it's difficult for me to find a foundation that responds to my needs. But I am absolutely satisfied with this product, plus it's non-drying, very luminous and gives the skin a velvety look.

What surprised me the most is the scent of this product. It has a vanillary, sweet fragrance that I personally love, and unlike other foundation the scent actually stays on the skin for a few hours.

The only negative side I find is that it doesn’t last very much on the skin: after 5/6 hours it starts to fade – even though I don’t have oily skin and all the foundations I have used in the past lasted me up to 10 hours with no primer underneath.

All in all, I love this foundation: it gives great coverage, a mat finish – but it's not cakey at all – and I would recommend it for any skin type.

You can find MeMeMe products  in Superdrug (although not all the branches carry this brand) at £ 12.50. I have checked out MeMeMe’s lovely website here and I am sure I will try other products from their range, because it seems MeMeMe make-up is really good quality at a fair price!

MeMeme does not test on animals, and this product is free from oil, alcohol, parabens and fragrance allergens.

Rococo Nail Polish - Peaches

This spring is all about nail polishes for me. I've been browsing the new collections for ages now, and I have to say that the best pieces I've seen so far all belong to the polish ranges. I know it sounds quite stupid, but a nice nail polish always cheers me up during these gloomy days, and makes me want real spring to come as quick as possible!
I am quite "conservative" beauty-wise, and my nail polish choice was always either black or red, with no particular experimentig or extravaganzas. But this year, I'm eager to try new colors - at least, new to me. So when I was browsing Rococo nail polishes in my local Space NK, undecided between a taupe - browny shade and a lively peach coral, I finally decided to start a new deal in my nails life.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture - Glossy Stain

The other day I stopped at a YSL counter to take a look at their lipsticks, and because deep inside of me I was hoping to find the perfect coraly/peachy shade to suit my hyper-pigmented lips. The lady at the counter tried a couple of the Rouge Voluptee lipsticks on me, and as always, the effect was that of a zombie girl.
Finally - exhausted by the unsuccesfull results - she showed me their newest release in term of lip products - the Glossy Stains.

I've seen quite a lot of blog posts on these products, but never felt intrigued by them. As always, I was wrong. (Seems that the least something appeals me, the most I like it in the end).

Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara

I purchased Chanel Inimitable Intense last summer, while I was in Croatia for a vacation (lovely, sunny times indeed).

First of all, I’ve got to warn you: this mascara has a plastic wound. Many Youtubers and bloggers I follow hate these types of wounds, but personally I find they’re the best for my lashes. [Quick description: my lashes are extremely light-colored, unbelievably fine and annoyingly short.]

Back to Chanel. I love this mascara because, with the spiky tiny bristles, it’s able to grab my lashes, define them and give them a nice curl. I don’t mind the slightly ‘spidery’ effect you can achieve with a couple of coats of Inimitable Intense.

Being the wound quite small, I find rather easy to work with it without blobbing all over the place (it usually happens to me when I try to use big chunky wounds, like Diorshow’s, just to cite one).
